While I wrote and recorded all of the music, this was very much an interactive theater experiment. There was a live 'pit' on stage where members of the cast played along - and often filled in - parts of the music. The lyrics - not presented here - were translated from the original Brecht by Tony Kushner. The idea was to give the music a sense of timelessness and yet, still, contemporary. The pit played found object instruments that you might imagine in a forgotten wasteland of no place in particular. And, yet, a place we can all imagine.
